HISTORY/BACKGROUND INFORMATION.

Care-Net Development and Support Organization is a Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) a public benefit Organisation (PBO) and a Child Protection Organisation (CPO).

It was established in 2007 by a veteran Social Worker to promote, improve, support and strengthen the lives and wellbeing of families. It started operating formally in Winterveldt, a semi-rural community about 50km North of Pretoria in the Gauteng Province in 2010 and has expanded its serviced to Mabopane in June 2016.

It is run and governed by a team of committed and motivated permanent staff members and skilled volunteers, who also serve on the board of directors.

Since its inception, the organisation has responded to the crippling national unemployment crises through the creation of 23 sustainable fulltime jobs and three (3) part time jobs have been developed for both professional and non-professionals.

The organization has continued to identify and develop extra needs. To date four (4) additional programmes have been developed to render different services.
